Opening Dubai Representative Desk

MOL Logistics (Japan) Co., Ltd. (President: Shuhei Togo) announced that its regional headquarters in Europe, MOL Logistics Holding (Europe) B.V., has opened a representative desk in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (U.A.E.).

MOL Logistics takes a proactive stance in expanding its business in emerging regions in line with its mid-term business plan. The company opened its Nairobi Branch in May 2017 and a subsidiary in Sri Lanka in April 2018, and signed a new agency contract in Oman in May of the same year, and now focuses on its business in the U.A.E., which has a competitive edge as a logistics hub as well as strong ties to markets in Africa.

Dubai is the U.A.E.’s second-largest economy following Abu Dhabi, and has the world’s largest man-made harbor and Dubai International Airport, which serves as an international hub, functioning as a commercial and logistics relay city to countries in the Middle East and Africa.

The roles of the representative desk, located in the Jebel Ali Free Zone, include collecting information on business in the Middle East, expanding cargo collection in/outbound and via Gulf countries, and further enhancing services for East African markets in cooperation with the Nairobi Branch.

MOL Logistics continually develops and expands its worldwide logistics network, and meets various logistics needs while working in close partnership with its customers.
